Own Well Real Estate Team (“we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through ownwellrealestate.com, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you fill in a form on our website, we collect what you enter:
- Contact form: name, email, phone number (optional) and your message.
- Buyer inquiry: name, email, phone number, and the home you are looking for (property type, timeline, bedrooms, bathrooms, price range, preferred locations and any notes).
- Free home evaluation: name, email, phone number, your property address and details (type, size, bedrooms, bathrooms) and any notes.
- Newsletter: your email address.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the site we may collect:
- How you found us: the advertising or campaign tags in the link you clicked (such as UTM tags or a Google Ads click ID) and the first page you landed on. This is stored in your browser for up to 90 days and is sent to us only if you submit a form.
- Usage data through Google Analytics, such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type. Google Analytics uses cookies.
- Your light or dark display choice, saved in your browser.
How we use your information
- To reply to your inquiry and provide the real estate services you ask for, such as finding a home, evaluating your property or arranging a consultation.
- To send you our newsletter and market updates, if you subscribed.
- To understand which pages and advertising campaigns bring people to our website, so we can improve them.
- To keep records of our client communications, as required for our business and by law.
We do not sell your personal information.
Who we share it with
We share your information only with the service providers that help us run our business, and only as needed to provide our services:
- Our team: the Own Well Real Estate Team member who helps you.
- Website hosting: Bluehost, which hosts our website and stores form submissions.
- Email delivery: Resend, which delivers form notifications to our team.
- Lead management: Google (Google Sheets), Zapier and Nova CRM, which we use to organize and follow up on inquiries.
- Analytics and advertising: Google (Google Analytics and Google Ads).
- Reviews widget: Trustindex, which displays our Google reviews on the site.
Some of these providers store information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to the laws of that country. We may also disclose information when the law requires it.
Cookies and your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser add-on. The website will still work without cookies.
If you subscribed to our newsletter, you can unsubscribe at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us.
How long we keep it
We keep your information only as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as long as the law requires. When we no longer need it, we delete it or make it anonymous.
How we protect it
